Comprehension, grammar fundamentals (capital letters, full stops, commas, nouns, adjectives, verbs and tenses) and story writing

Some students work towards the 7+ exam. Others prepare for year 2 SATs with past papers.
Years 3 and 4
Maths topics at this level include: fractions, decimals, percentages, converting units of measurement, angles, ratio and time.
English consists of comprehension and creative writing, as well as grammar tasks.
More advanced year 4 students are able to work through past 11+ papers for maths and English.
Years 5 and 6
We recognise that some students at this age would like to prepare for their SATs exams in year 6, in addition to, or instead of the 11plus exam. SATs preparation consists of:

Learning terms such as: adverbials, modal verb, antonym, clause, subject and object, as well as identifying and using these in sentences to prepare for the grammar, punctuation and spelling paper
